makers 2Christ Church Sport are currently taking applications for 6 positions as part of the Sport Ambassador team for 2016-17 academic year. The Sport Ambassador team is made up of 14 passionate and enthusiastic students who deliver and promote sport activity to fellow students and aim to raise engagement in all forms of sport and physical activity at the University.

In the summer of 2014, Christ Church Sport’s funding bid to Sport England was successful and the University were awarded £296,000 to deliver the PlaySport project over three years which focuses on creating opportunities for more students and staff to get active regularly through fun social sport activities and encourages the development of a sporting habit for life. The award includes funding for student ambassador positions to drive sport participation forward at Christ Church.

The 6 positions applications are currently being taken for are:

  • Broadstairs Sport Ambassador – 2 positions
  • Medway Sport Ambassador
  • Football League Coordinator
  • Futsal League Coordinator
  • Netball League Coordinator

Sport Ambassadors Slider-01The successful applicants would be expected to work 4 hours per week during term time at a rate of £8.25 per hour and would commence the role on 1st September 2016 until 30th June 2017. Closing date for applications is Thursday 9th June 2016 and interviews will be on Thursday or Friday the 16th and 17th June 2016.
